In some ways, the Brits have it all over us Americans. For starters, they do not spend years wasting time and money on their elections because they keep it all within the family. The Royal Family that is. Who wouldn’t want Prince William to be head of their country some day! I’m in my mid-30’s and even I gush over him. Secondly, they’ve got much better slang than we do. They’ve got words like cherrio, bollocks and duffer. I might not understand the terms they are using but it sure sounds better than the jive lingo we’ve got going over here. But, what the Brits really have over us Americans are manners.
I photographed this 5-year old little boy yesterday and you know what; it was absolutely enjoyable. Now, I do not want to get everyone all uptight thinking I don’t enjoy what I do. I love what I do. However, my typical photo shoot with 5-year old boys is, for lack of a better word, chaos. When photographing younger boys here in the studio, it’s like trying to capture the tasmanian devil in action. A whirling dervish if you will. But, my experience yesterday with Lance was entirely different. He was calm, extremely polite, and he actually listened to the directions I was giving him.
