If I had to do it over, (it being a wedding, of course), this is how I would do it now. An intimate group of friends, a fantastic bottle of champagne, and a great sunset on the beach. Really, when you boil it all down, what else really matters? Of course, I say this now, almost 7 years after my own fabulous and over the top wedding. Had I not had that, then perhaps I would not be sitting here now saying that bigger isn’t always better.
Irene & Bob were married by one of my favorite people down here in Naples, Gail Alvarado. Gail is the concierge and sometimes wedding officiant at The La Playa Resort. The couple themselves were fun and the group was so warm and welcoming. In the hour I had to photograph, I left feeling like I was part of the family.
