I photographed this family a few year’s ago at the wedding of one of their daughters. This family beach shoot was so fun for me because it felt like I was reconnecting with old friends from years ago. I loved to see how their family had grown. I know it may sound so silly, but I just connect with so many of my clients when we work together, and feel like I make all these wonderful friends through my photography, so it really is nice to see them again after time has passed. I always tell my clients when we photograph that it’s more of a collaboration between us than me just taking photos. We need to work together to get the best portraits we can. It really is special for me to see my client’s go from bride to mother. And I look forward to a few more years down the road, when I can see them (and their growing family) again!
