This wedding rocked, literally. The Band of Heathens out of Austin, TX played at the reception and it was truly a blast. Gary & Karen were married at The Blue Lake Ranch in Durango, Colorado. The event center at Blue Lake always has spectacular flowers growing, no matter if it’s spring, summer or fall. I can always find some wonderful splash of color to use as a backdrop. Having lived in Durango, the Ridgewood Event Center brought back fond memories for me as it is really where my photography business got its start. It is always fun to return to Durango after having moved to Naples, Florida almost 3 years ago. I welcomed the opportunity to photograph this event with the backdrop of the mountains and changing light.
Gary owns Second Avenue Sports bike shop in town, which explains the photo of all his groomsmen on bikes riding through town. A fun bunch of people celebrating a really great couple!
