It’s been a week since the last post. I’ve been traveling up in North Carolina, mostly for pleasure, but I also did a little work on the road. Posted are a few photos of my girlfriend’s daughter, Finley, who I photographed while away. I am typically accustomed to photographing in the studio with controlled light or on the beach at sunrise or sunset, with very soft light. I adore these photos because they are of Finley early one morning, still in her pajamas, with harsh light streaming through the windows behind her. The backlight adds some edginess to these photos. That, and Finley’s wild hair!
