If any of you receive our newsletter, you will know that the November Issue focused on family.  The older I get, the happier I am sitting home with my 3 littles on a Friday night, making dinner and enjoying my time with them.  Part of my job that I have always loved has been learning about the dynamics within other families and seeing the inter-workings of how other people communicate with those closest to them.  Some families are so funny and warm while others are very proper and reserved.  And the fact of the matter is, the family you are born into will absolutely shape the person you become, whether you want to admit it or not.

Which brings me to this lovely family here.  Grandmother was diagnosed with some really bad news about two months ago now and one of the first things her children decided to do was set up this photo shoot.  They want to have “happy photos” of them all together.  And this really struck me as being quite extraordinary.  In a time of struggle and uncertainly to know what they wanted to capture on film, was the love and happiness that they all share together.  When I look at these images, I think what a truly amazing gift they gave themselves and especially her grandson.   Not matter what the future holds, he will always have these images that will  remind him how much he is loved.

On a personal note to this sweet family, thank you for allowing me into your lives long enough to give me the chance to capture you all together.  Even with the awful weather we endured, it was truly a beautiful evening.
