Meet Kyle. He is the adorable boy on the right in this photo seen here with his brother and cousin. This is the second year I have had the opportunity to photograph Kyle and his family and if you have a minute, I think you’ll find his story worthy of your time. This year Kyle has been selected as Boy of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s Society. Kyle’s pediatric doctor, Dr. Andrew Harris, is a candidate for Man of the Year but needs our help. Every dollar donated to Dr. Andy counts as a vote towards his candidacy for Man of the Year. What makes Dr. Andy so extraordinary is that he himself is also a leukemia survivor. I know every day we have requests thrown at us for help. You can’t seem to check out from Publix, Target or any other box store these days without being asked to donate to one worthy cause or another. And I realize this is no different. But I know this sweet boy, so it’s personal for me. And his doctor was integral in Kyle’s treatment and road to remission.
