This family got together to celebrate dad’s 70th birthday. It’s always amazing to me when you start with only two people, how fast you can grow into upwards of 40! This shoot was mid-day which I was very nervous about…but the birthday man scoped out this spot for me and it worked out perfect! Love the willow-type trees that provided my group their shade. I usually never shoot mid-day. In fact, we only offer two beach sessions a day: sunrise or sunset. But this shoot took place up in Port Charlotte and this was the only time all 40 members of this family could make it work…so sometimes…I just have to go with the flow. This image has not been retouched yet..it needs a bit of color correction and other tweaks that I can see, but all in all, it’s a great foundation.
I shot some individuals of some of the families after the group shot. I was loving how these looked in B&W with those great trees in the background. I would love to find some of these trees in Naples!
